Day One (21 June 2010)
This week, June 21-25, DHI China hosts a MIKE 11 training course with 50 trainees. The course takes place in Shanghai at the Chang Hang Hotel. The 5-day course includes a 3-day basic training in the simulation of catchment runoff (MIKE 11 NAM), river flows (MIKE 11 HD) and structure operations (MIKE 11 SO) followed by two training days in either flood related modelling or water environmental modelling. Participants mainly come from research institutions, universities and industry in mainland China.

Day Three (23 June 2010)
During the past three days, our chief engineer Dr. Zhang Haiping and hydrodynamic modeling engineer Mr. Zhang Yongpeng offered an excellent and detailed lecture on MIKE 11 HD, RR & SO. The large room was crowded – not a single vacant seat could be found. Assistant engineers from DHI ensured that every trainee received support as the training progressed. From tomorrow and onwards the trainees will be divided up into two professional classes. As mentioned the two classes were flood related numerical modeling class and water environment numerical modeling class.
Day Five (25 June 2010) - the training coming to a happy ending
The five-day MIKE software training is coming to a great success today. All trainees from the Water Environment Numerical Modeling class and Flood related Numerical Modeling class have learned a lot during the training course. The trainees coming from all over China communicate very well, and we believe that they have all gained much more than just some software skills about MIKE 11 (2009 Version). Trainees feel precious about this training chance and take photos together at the gate of Chang Hang Hotel for this memorable period in Shanghai. And most of them went to see the “Expo 2010 Shanghai China” during the week which is so great as well. Last but not least, we would like to express our great appreciation to all participants for their support to DHI China. If you have any problem at using the software or have any ideas and advice for improvements, please tell us at any time. You can E-mail us at:
