User Conference in Japan

Professor Yamada The 12th annual Japanese DUC (DHI User Conference) gathered more than 70 participants from 42 organizations – record attendance - at Chuo University in Tokyo Wednesday October 29th.  The users watched interesting project presentations by Dr. Kameyama from NIES (*), who talked about the use of MIKE SHE and MIKE 11 to estimate the impact of  Watershed change on seasonal hydrologic dynamics in the Mekong River Flood plain,  Dr. Nakane from NIESDP (**), who presented a real-time Urban FLOOD forecasting test study.

Students from Chuo University also gave interesting presentations of their modelling work on Japanese cases.

Finally, the participants also heard about the new features scheduled for the 2009 release of the MIKE by DHI products. The afternoon finished with the usual buffet party.
