DHI's water forecasting service has been operational since June 2001. It has been providing 5 days forecasts for the North Sea, the Baltic Sea and the inner Danish Waters daily since then of
- water levels and currents
- waves and swell
- salinity and temperature
- environmental indicators like oxygen and chlorophyll-a
- winds and air pressure
The service covers very small scale modelling (like bathing water forecasts for the Copenhagen Harbour) and as of today also large scale modelling with the new global wave model.
